Another flower
This is another flower I have made. I think I could get hooked on making these paper flowers. This one I came up with all on my own, at least I think I did, sure someone else out there has had the same idea but for the time being, I think I did this one without help. I used Basic George, and DCVW paper and a small pompom in the center.
Coleman and the Computer
When he thinks I am spending too much time on computer and not enough time on him he gets in front of the screen and lays down on the keyboard.
Coleman
I think it is about time I share with you all how Coleman came into my life. Four years ago, my youngest son and his wife discovered they were expecting their first child, whom they had waited 10 years for. Being the overly protective expectant parents they were quite concerned how Coleman, who was their cat, would work out with a new baby when it arrived. See they had Coleman since he was 7 weeks old and he was then 10... Now you who know him know he has some real issues, such as he eats anything leather or a plastic groc bag. Now he doesnt just chew on them he literaly eats them. Therefore you have to keep everything put up or locked away if you dont want him to get at it. And he is a 20# cat, so there isnt much he cant get into or do. Besides that he is a very loving cat, loving in the sense that he sleeps on your face. You can see where I am going with this, now what expectant parent wants a 20# cat that is going to lay on the baby. So the problem was what to do with him, they couldnt give him to any one with small children and not many people wanted to wear shoes with the backs chewed out or carry a purse witht he handle duct taped back together. The conclusion was that they would just have to have him put to sleep. Now being the person that I am, I couldnt see that happening to such a beautiful healthy creature. Plus there was something that appealed to me about him, guess he kind of reminded me of my late husband. Come to think of it alot reminds me of him, the snoring, the disposition, etc, but that is another story too. So it was decided I would take him. Now I had become disabled several years before and have had some health issues, and had moved into a elderly retirement housing. Thank goodness this one allows pets up to 20#, hope they never put him on the scales, hate to have to chop off his tale to meet the weight limit. So the big day came when he was supposed to come to live with me. I had reasearched the net on how to best introduce an older cat into a new home and they brought him over and spent the day with me, so he could get used to his new surroundings with the comfort of them being around. We wanted it to work out for all of us. Little did I know just what a lousy housekeeper I was about keeping things put up and away. But I did learn. So he seemed to be quite happy and they left. He just kind of explored the house and learned how easy it was to open all the cupboard and closet doors, and then proceeded to come in to me as I was resting on the couch and get up on my chest, oh my a new baby wouldnt stand a chance, and lay down. He made himself right at home and has been there ever since. He is one of the best things that has come into my life and we have each other well trained. He is a very loving cat and really quite friendly contrary to popular belief about Siamese cats. He is gorgous, and has the most beautiful violet eyes. My daughter calls them Liz Taylor eyes. So that is the story of how he came to be with me. Of course I do have to include a couple pictures.
Krabby Kat
Everyone meet my new little friend, Krabby Kat. I am in hopes you will be seeing alot more of him in the near future. You who know me, may see a remarkable resemblance to a certain Coleman in my life.
Facelift
What a wonderful way to start the week, look at the neat new facelift I gave to my blog page. And how appropriate, the page design is called Penelope. Not my real name, I am just a simple Penny but sure fits me and my likes and style. Now I am off to have coffee outside with a good friend. The week is looking good. Later, Penny and Coleman, who is still sleeping.

Funny thought for the day
Just had a silly thought as I was sitting here waiting for the live discussion with the owners of Oh My Craft store. It has to be one of my favorite places to shop. It was one of the first ones I frequented when I got my cricut. I would not have nearly the number of cartidges if it werent for the great sales and deals they offer. And most of my other fun toys also, I may look elsewhere but alway sseem to end up back there.
But back to my thought, that is what happens, the mind wonders, ha ha ha. Anyway, my thought was, dahda, drum roll please. The cards and creations on my blog are what happens when you are alone, with nothing but the Three C's in your life, Coleman my cat, my computer and my CRICUT. They all give me a reason to get up each morning and look forward to the endless possibilites of each new day. So if you are reading this it means you have taken the time to check my my creations and read my blog and for that I thank you all. Have a good evening.
Love, Penny and Coleman.
